Hi Whitbyworld!

I wanted to drop you all a line and firstly say HAPPY NEW YEAR to each and every one of you!

2011 was an absolutely incredible 12 months for me but without you guys supporting me it wouldn’t have been possible.

Each weekend I am blessed with having the opportunity to perform and play music to the thousands of you who travel to see me. From Bilbao in Spain to Cape Town in South Africa and Amsterdam Holland all the way over to Los Angeles; Hard-dance for me in 2011 was about big moments on big dance-floors.

In January I launched my monthly podcast series ‘The Hardkast’, showcasing my biggest in-set tracks and featuring a guest-mix by my favourite artists. 12 months later it has gone onto become the most listened-to UK Hard-dance podcast on the planet – averaging a download every 3 minutes from either www.hardkast.com (iTunes) or www.soundcloud.com/andywhitby (Soundcloud) - and yes, you guys are costing me a small fortune in bandwidth!

Playing for global super-brand Clubland throughout the summer at their Eden Ibiza and BCM Magaluf events were also a massive highlight for me – playing back 2 back with star of ‘The Only Way is Essex’ Mark Wright was certainly good fun!

Festivals including Creamfields and Run To The Sun once again showed why they are two of the most anticipated dates on the clubbing calendar - looking out and seeing a sea of happy smiling people is what it is all about for me – you might not know it, but from where I’m standing you guys look amazing!

As the year came to a close I formed my new Hard-dance group F*** Vinyl, mixed the debut AWsum Album and travelled to Los Angeles, Seattle and Edmonton for three incredible gigs – proving Hard-dance does not only exist in the UK – it is a Worldwide sound.

Events like Frantic, Insomniacz, Storm, Atomik, Tidy, Rhythmic, Bionic, Escape Gets Filthy and many more all ensured at any given weekend I would be showcasing my sounds to the best clubbers out there, so a massive thank you to all the promoters and club owners who brought me to their parties throughout the year.

Here we stand at the start of another year; my 12th in the industry and I’m excited about things more now than ever. The music, industry and Hard-dance scene are ever-changing and forever growing – something I am proud to be part of
